Chapter BB elects new officers
Twelve members of P.E.O. Chapter BB met Monday, at 1 p.m., at the Fisher Community Center. Before the meeting members toured the Impressionist Gallery. Vice-president, Sylvia Lowrance, called the meeting to order.
Thank you notes were read from Jessica Schumacher and Jane Bauer by Ladonna Allison who served as corresponding secretary. Carol Terry thanked the tea committee of Mary Lovig, Sue Cope and Jean Brennecke for serving at today’s meeting. She also told members about the May 20 dinner at Elmwood Country Club for BB members and their spouses.
P.E.O. International President, Beth Ledbetter, will also be in attendance. A group photo will be taken that evening as a remembrance of BB’s 120th Anniversary that will be celebrated on May 21 with a tea at Tallcorn Towers.
Officers were elected for the 2017-18 calendar year: President-Mary Kenagy; Vice-president-Lowrance, Co-Recording Secretaries-Carolyn Anderson and Heidi Drager; Treasurer-Michelle Roseburrough; Corresponding Secretary-Catherine Lester; Chaplain-Mandy Abernathy and Co-Guards-Bobbi Olson and Ladonna Allison.
Members shared memories of BB sister, Jackie Patterson, who recently passed away. She was a very special woman who will be sorely missed by BB members and by the community. The next meeting will be March 20 at the home of Olson with Allison and Erika Miller co hosting. Conversation with Coffee for BB members will be at 10 a.m. on Feb. 16 at the Orpheum.
