Two January meetings for Sigma Master

Sigma Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi have met twice in January, the first being Jan. 10 at El Portal with a short meeting after lunch with President Jan Keller thanking Irma Fields for hosting.

Nine members met for lunch Jan. 24 at Pizza Ranch with five excused, one absent and one guest. Keller thanked guest host Jackie Fiscus for giving each member a lottery ticket having four winners. Roll call was taken with the question “how much snow will we get with the storm predicted?”

Keller announced a prize would be given at the next meeting as forecast by TV Channel 8.

Minutes of the last meeting was read, and approved along with the financial report given by Alice Nicholson stating $11 was the profit for the Rada Cutlery purchases.

Topic of conversation consisted of the wellness of members excused, present and spouses too. Comments of the first great grandbaby for Nicholson born Jan. 19 in South Carolina was the highlight of good news.

Keller announced that the next meeting will be held at Legends with Karen Shipley-Cooper hosting on Feb. 14.
