Entre Nous Club met at Binford House on March 7 for its regular luncheon meeting with 11 members and one guest present. Hostesses were Joyce Bayne and Mary Quam.

President Mary Lou Tappe opened the meeting with members reciting The American’s Creed. Minutes were approved as read. Secretary Eleanor Stegmann reported three letters sent and read the correspondence. Treasurer Donna Barton gave the treasurer’s report.

President Tappe appointed the nominating committee comprised of Pat Gourley, Ruth Hovick and Marlys Ankrum. New officers will be installed at the May meeting.

Ankrum gave the Binford House report and told of a new oven to soon be installed in the kitchen and electrical work to be done.

Aimee Deimerly-Snyder presented the program about her duties as the Volunteer Program Co-ordinator at the Iowa Veterans Home. She told of various programs that enhance the lives of the 527 residents who live there. These programs include recreation, arts and crafts, gardening, library facilities, visiting pets and animals and dining out. Over 1,000 volunteers make these programs a reality for the residents.
