Beta Sigma Phi holds luncheon meeting
Sigma Master Chapter, Beta Sigma Phi met for a luncheon meeting on April 25 at Mama DiGrado’s Pasta and Pizza. President Jan Keller opened the meeting thanking Ginny Bumsted for hosting. Twelve members and one guest answered Roll Call with the question: “What is your favorite thing to start everyday?” Two members were excused due to illness. Alice Nicholson read the minutes of the March 28 meeting, and the Founder’s Day Times-Republican article along with the financial report.
Memorial contributions in the amount of $205 in honor of Erma Fields’ passing was added to the account, and members are to present ideas at the next meeting for her tribute. The International Memorial Book was presented to Field’s niece, Sue McCoy at the funeral as the entire chapter attended.
Keller asked if anyone was interested in going June 9, 10 and 11 to Waterloo for the State Convention so reservations could be made. No interest was made. It was also noted that dues will be required. Keller will host the May 9 Mother’s Day salad luncheon at which time officers for 2017-18 will be installed. Co-hosting the day will be her mother, Louise Powers and Elizabeth Wood.
