Antonio Vela made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Aug. 14. Vela will hire his own counsel. The court ordered a substance abuse evaluation with the results submitted within 60 days.

Mathew A. McCanna made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Aug. 19 in Magistrate Court. Michael Marquess was appointed as counsel. McCanna was released on his promise to appear.

Melisa K. Hayward made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge, a no insurance charge and a operation without registration charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Aug. 14. The public defender’s office was appointed as counsel.

Alina Marie Davenport made an initial appearance on two counts of a driving under suspension charge and a speeding charge. A Rocket Docket pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Aug. 28 in Magistrate Court.

Rick Lee Hughes made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a stop sign charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Aug. 12 in Magistrate Court.

Lisa Fogarty made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Jennifer Bonzar was appointed as counsel. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Aug. 12 in Magistrate Court.

Sean D. Switzer made an initial appearance on a dog at large charge. He pleaded guilty and was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

Robert J. Doran made an initial appearance on a false reporting to a public entity charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Aug. 5 in Magistrate Court.
