Marshalltown Police Department

Accidents

• On Wednesday, a car driven by Christopher Lee Lamb, of Rhodes, was southbound on Highway 14 attempting to turn left into McDonald’s when it crossed the path of a vehicle driven by Frankie Leigh Bauder, of Marshalltown, which was traveling north resulting in a collision. No injuries were reported. Lamb was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $2,500 each.

• On Wednesday, a car driven by Miguel Angel Ibarra Lemus, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on Olive Street stopped at the intersection with South Second Avenue and it proceeded into the intersection as a car driven by Doris Ralston Strand, of Marshalltown, was turning left from South Second Avenue onto Olive Street. No injuries were reported. Ibarra Lemus was cited for failure to yield to vehicle on the right. Damage to the Ibarra Lemus car was estimated at $1,000 while the Strand car received an estimated $1,500 in damage.

• On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Karl Martin Lanes, of Bondurant, was eastbound in the 300 block of West Madison Street, stopped at the stop sign with South Third Street and negotiated a left turn at the same time a bicyclist rode across South Third Street resulting in the pickup colliding with the rear tire of the bicycle. Luis Manuel Garcia was transported to Central Iowa Healthcare.

• On Tuesday, a Jeep driven by Anna Jo Vajgrt, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on State Street at the intersection with North Third Street and a car driven by Grant Eugene Gale, of Marshalltown, was southbound on North Third Street. They both stopped at the stop signs at the same time and both entered the intersection at the same time resulting in a collision. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Vajgrt Jeep was estimated at $2,500 while the Gale car received an estimated $1,500 in damage.

Citations

• On Thursday, James Levi Coughenour was cited for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended, no insurance-accident and damage to vehicle.

• On Wednesday, Megan Joyce Kutzner was cited for no insurance and driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Connie Jean Fields was arrested on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Nathan Thomas Lucas was arrested on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Casey Blaine Jesina was arrested on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Joel Russell Looft was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.

• On Wednesday, Larry Edwin Gwinn was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Wednesday, Aaron Armon Taylor was arrested for possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense.

Grundy County Sheriff

Arrests

• On Nov. 1, Kyaw Lwin, age 47, of Marshalltown, was arrested by Marshalltown Police Department on a Grundy County warrant charging him with contempt of court. Lwin was released under pre-trial conditions.

• On Nov. 1, Dale Mason, age 24, of Dows, was arrested by Hardin County authorities on a Grundy County warrant charging him with probation violation. Mason is being held in lieu of bond.

• On Nov. 1, Hector Lizarde-Garcia, age 22, of Marshalltown, was arrested by Marshall County authorities on a Grundy County warrant charging him with failure to appear. Lizarde-Garcia is being held in lieu of bond.

Accidents

• On Nov. 6, a car driven by Joseph Egloff, age 30, of Parkersburg, was eastbound on 130th Street east of W Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Egloff car was estimated at $10,000.
