• Margaret Charlene Schultz made an initial appearance on a warrant charging her with theft-fifth degree. Merrill Swartz is appointed as counsel. A pre-trial conference is scheduled in Magistrate Court at 9 a.m. on Jan. 25, 2017. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.
• Kimberly Ann Steen made an initial appearance on a accessory to a misdemeanor charge. She pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 60 days.
• Alexander Timothy Cox made an initial appearance on a possession of drug charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Jan. 25, 2017 in Magistrate Court.
• Christopher E. Steen made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. A contempt hearing is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Dec. 19 in Magistrate Court. Marshon Dubbert will continue as counsel.

Accidents
• On Wednesday, a vehicle driven by Ashley Marie Zilmer, of Evansdale, was backing out of a driveway onto Lincoln Street when it struck a legally parked Pontiac G6. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Zilmer vehicle was estimated at $600 while the Pontiac G6 received an estimated $2,000 in damage.
• On Wednesday, a pickup driven by Lance Alan Sponsler, of Marshalltown, was exiting a parking spot at Calvin Rocket’s when it turned sharply striking a Dodge Avenger in the parking spot next to it and then left the scene without leaving information. No injuries were reported. Sponsler was cited for striking unattended vehicle. Damage to the Sponsler pickup was estimated at $500 while the Dodge Avenger received an estimated $3,000 in damage.
