Monday

• Samantha Rachelle Zouaki made an initial appearance on a warrant charging her with violation of pre-trial release conditions. Tyler Heeren will continue as counsel. Zouaki’s next court appearance is a pre-trial conference scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on April 14 with a jury trial scheduled at 9 a.m. on April 20. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

• Rey M. Chavez, of Le Grand, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge and a trespass charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Feb. 22 in Magistrate Court. The court appointed Breanna Nelson as counsel. Chavez was released on his promise to appear.

• Manuel Gabino made an initial appearance on a harassment-first degree charge and a domestic abuse assault charge. Christian Stickrod was appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 1. If he owns or possesses any firearms or ammunition, Gabino is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jeffrey John Stoneking made an initial appearance on a theft charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $100 with a $35 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $320, due within 30 days.

• Pa Eh made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a stop sign charge. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Feb. 22 in Magistrate Court.

• On Friday, Kassandra Castellanos was cited for striking unattended vehicle.

• On Saturday, Daniel Thomas Warnell was cited for no insurance and driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Sunday, Brett Gregory Quigley was arrested for eluding, violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court, failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way, interference with official acts, driving under suspension, speeding and on a warrant.

• On Sunday, Alesha Lorraine Sanders was arrested for interference with official acts and public intoxication-first offense.

• On Monday, Manuel Gabino was arrested for harassment-first degree and domestic abuse assault-first offense.

Accidents

• On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Charles Henry Boyd, of Marshalltown, was northbound on the Frontage Road stopped at the intersection with Nicholas Drive when it proceeded forward into the path of a pickup driven by Jacob Ray Ball, of Maxwell, which was crossing the South Center Street intersection on a green light. No injuries were reported. Damage to both pickups was estimated at $2,000 each.

• On Tuesday, a vehicle driven by Esmaralda Sarai Adkins, of Marshalltown, was southbound on South Sixth Street approaching Pleasantview Road when it collided with the rear of a car driven by Mitchell Allen Albert, of Ankeny, which was stopped at the stop sign. No injuries were reported. Adkins was cited for failure to stop in an assured, clear distance. Damage to the Adkins vehicle was estimated at $2,000 while the Albert car received an estimated $3,500 in damage.

Arrests

• On Thursday, Jamison Allyn Wyatt was arrested on a warrant.

• On Saturday, Surrell Jade Youngbear was arrested for driving while revoked, carrying weapons, no insurance, failure to carry a registration card, unlawful use of a license or non-operators ID card, no valid driver’s license and a warrant from another county.

• On Sunday, Thomas Alan Niehus was arrested on three warrants.
