• Brandon Raymond Burras made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on June 8. Burras is released on his promise to appear.

• Chris Lynn Lippincott made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on June 22. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 29 W. Main St., 1007 S. 11th Ave., 1507 Laurel Drive, and 1701 E. Iowa Ave.

May 12

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries at 901 S. Center St., a brush or brush and grass mixture fire in the 400 block of North Center Street, two dispatched/cancelled en route to 2802 S. Center St., and 903 S. Center St., and 10 medical assists with the EMS crew to: 600 Woodland St., 2205 S. Center St., 109 Byron St., 202 N. Second Ave., 610 Jackson St., two at 1 W. Grant St., 206 Nicholas Drive, 2907 S. Sixth St., and 312 W. High St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unintentional transmission of alarm at 1309 Industrial Blvd., and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 207 N. 16th St., 507 W. Southridge Road, and 919 S. 12th Ave.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke scare or odor at 208 S. Third St., two unauthorized burnings at 710 1/2 E. State St., and 306 N. Seventh Ave., a grass fire on East Highway 30 and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 112 N. First St., 403 E. Southridge Road, 919 S. 12th Ave., and 3315 S. Center St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an outside rubbish fire at 807 N. Fourth Ave., a good intent call to 1300 E. Olive St., and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 609 W. Church St., 506 E. Anson St., 1508 S. Sixth St., 301 S. Fourth Ave., 202 N. Second Ave., 313 Innis Blvd., and 602 N. First Ave.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Aundre Dwayne Allen was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Luis Lizarde De La Rosa was arrested on a warrant.

• On Wednesday, Brandon Burras was arrested on a warrant and for theft-third degree.

• On Wednesday, Tanya Eileen Perry was arrested for driving under suspension, speeding, no insurance, failure to file SR-22 insurance, no valid driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Accidents

• On Thursday, a car driven by Terry Don Buzbee, of Marshalltown, was westbound on West Lincolnway going around a curve when it left the traveled portion of the roadway, drove through a grove of trees and came to rest on it passenger side. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Buzbee car was estimated at $15,000 while there was some tree damage that was estimated at $200.

May Arrests

• Jarod Johnson was arrested for public intoxication.

• Jesse Thill was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, no valid driver’s license and no valid registration.
