• Chad Anthony Betts made an initial appearance on a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense charge and a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on June 7. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted within 60 days.

• Omar Colunga Silva made an initial appearance through a Spanish interpreter on a possession of a marijuana-first offense charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on June 7. Colunga Silva was released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted within 60 days.

• Shanna Danyel O’Clair, of Conrad, made an initial appearance on a warrant charging her with failure to appear for arraignment hearing. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The arraignment hearing is rescheduled at 1 p.m. on May 25. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

• Trever John Alman made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on June 7. Alman is released on his promise to appear.

• Shelby Jere Thompson made an initial appearance on a unlawful possession of prescription drugs charge, no valid driver’s license charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on June 7. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. The court ordered that Thompson be photographed and fingerprinted in connection with this case no later than June 19.

• Jacob John Hulin made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. Hulin pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Larry Robert Prusha made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. A rocket docket pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on June 30 in Magistrate Court. Prusha was released on his promise to appear.

• Ronald Edward Draper Jr. made an initial appearance on a operation while intoxicated-third or subsequent offense charge, a driving while revoked charge, a no interlock device charge, a no seatbelt charge, a no insurance-accident charge, a registration violation charge and a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 30. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted within 60 days after release.

• David Loranzo Peppers made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 30. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. If he owns or possesses any firearms or ammunition, Peppers is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jose Luis Avalos Covarrubias made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge. Emily Swartz will continue as counsel. The arraignment hearing is rescheduled at 1 p.m. on May 30. Bond is set at $2,000 cash only.

• Mark Kevin Vasquez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Vasquez pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.

• Andres Ramirez made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a providing false identification charge and a no insurance charge. Ramirez pleaded guilty to the false information charge and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days. On the driving under suspension and no insurance charges, he pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on June 30 in Magistrate Court.

• Cheri Mora made an initial appearance on a truancy charge. Mora pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Arniobis Pineda Perez made an initial appearance on two counts of an assault charge. Pineda Perez pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m on May 24 in Magistrate Court.

• Shane Kapayou Jarvis made an initial appearance on a no insurance-accident charge and a no valid driver’s license charge. Kapayou Jarvis pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on June 14 in Magistrate Court.
