• Jonathan Arterburn made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Darrell Meyer is appointed as counsel. A parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by Arterburn’s parole officer. Arterburn is being held without bond pending his hearing.

The no insurance charge was dismissed when proof of insurance was produced with court costs of $60 assessed, due in 30 days. Accidents

• On Monday, a car driven by Lyle Francis Airey, of Albion, was southbound on the Third Avenue ramp, stopped at the stop sign and then started forward, but stopped quickly when Airey spotted motorcycle. The motorcycle driven by Michelle Ann Detrick, of Marshalltown, noticed the Airey car starting forward causing her to hit the brakes hard which made her slide resulting in Detrick laying down her cycle and sliding approximately 20 feet. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Detrick motorcycle was estimated at $500.
