• Jeremy Lavender made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Michael Marquess is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by Lavender’s parole officer. Lavender is being held without bond.

• Jennifer Lynn Myers made an initial appearance on a child endangerment charge. The public defender’s office was appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 5. Myers is released on her promise to appear.

• Shania Rose Kapayou, of Tama, made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. She pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $10 DARE surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $282.75, due within 30 days.

• Dianna Fernanda Murillo made an initial appearance on a speeding charge and a failure to appear for an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge. Murillo pleaded guilty to the speeding charge and was fined $160 with a $56 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $276, due within 30 days. A rocket docket pre-trial conference is scheduled on the driving under suspension charge for 9 a.m. on July 28 in Magistrate Court.

• Precious Leann Douglas made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a speeding charge, a no valid driver’ license charge, a no insurance charge and a operation without registration charge. Douglas pleaded guilty to the drug paraphernalia charge and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge, a $10 DARE surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $282.75, due within 30 days. A rocket doacket pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on June 30 in Magistrate Court.

• Fernando Villanueva Gomez made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a trial charge. The public defender’s office will continue as counsel. The trial is rescheduled at 9 a.m. on June 29 and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on June 23.

• David Beason made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge and a possession of a controlled substance-second offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 5. Beason is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days from today’s date.

• Alyssa Lorene Ralston made an initial appearance on a contempt of court charge. The court ordered Ralston to comply with the photograph and fingerprint order of the court immediately.
