• Russell Junior Gentry made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-second offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 20. If he owns or possesses any firearms or ammunition, Gentry is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Frank Coleman Summers made an initial appearance on a violation of no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Emily Swartz is appointed as counsel. The contempt hearing is scheduled at 11:15 a.m. on July 24. If he owns or possesses any firearms or ammunition, Summers is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jonathan Michael Waseskuk made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge and a improper use of lanes charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 28. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted within 60 days to the court.

• Christina Louise Salyers made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 28. Salyers is released on her promise to appear.

• Gustavo Aldofo Nava made an initial appearance on a speeding charge and on two warrants for failure to appear for a driving under suspension charge and a speeding charge. Nava pleaded guilty to the new speeding charge and the fine is $90 with a $31.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $181.50, due within 30 days. A rocket docket pre-trial conference on the two warrant charges is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on July 28 in Magistrate Court. Nava was released on his promise to appear.
