• Thon J. Maker made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a pre-trial conference in Magistrate Court on a public intoxication charge. Christian Stickrod will continue as counsel. The pre-trial conference is rescheduled at 9 a.m. on July 26 in Magistrate Court. Bond is set at $300 cash or surety.

• Rueben Lee Hickman made an initial appearance on a interference with official acts charge and a warrant charging him with probation violation. Hickman pleaded guilty to the interference charge and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 11. Hickman is being held without bond.

• James Franklin Duncan, of Le Grand, made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge, a no insurance charge and a no interlock device charge. Duncan will hire his own counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 31. Duncan is released on his promise to appear.

• David James Spencer made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge and a false reporting at the jail charge. Spencer pleaded guilty to the false reporting charge and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Danielle Nicole Grice made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. Grice pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due within 30 days.

• Gustavo Nava made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. He pleaded no guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on July 28 in Magistrate Court.
