• Brett G. Quigley made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge and on three counts of a probation violation charge. Merrill Swartz is appointed as counsel on the contempt charge. A contempt hearing will be scheduled by the District Court. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. If he owns or possesses any firearms or ammunition, Quigley is to contact the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office within 24 hours to make arrangements to surrender them. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel on the probation violations. A probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 1:30 p.m. on July 25. Bond is set at $15,000 total, cash only.

• Sifredo Ernesto Gomez made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge, a operation without registration charge, a no insurance charge, a no valid driver’s license charge and a driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 24. Gomez is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Samuel Alan Andersen made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge, a possession of methamphetamine-third or subsequent offense charge and a providing false information charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore as counsel for the parole charge. A parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by Andersen’s parole officer. Andersen is being held without bond pending his hearing.

On the other two charges, the public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 14. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Chase Randel Sanache, of Le Grand, made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge and a possession of alcohol under legal age limits charge. Sanache pleaded guilty to both charges. On the public intoxication charge the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. The fine on the underage possession of alcohol charge is $200 with a $70 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $330. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Jennifer Renee Stewart made an initial appearance on a possession of meth-second offense charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge, a no insurance charge and a operation without registration charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 24. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Desmond Quantavon Prinn Clark made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Clark pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Colton Jagger Baker Lagerquist, of Iowa Falls, made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on July 24. Lagerquist is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted within 60 days to the court.

• Jared Maurice Smith made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Smith pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Jack Allen Edwards made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Edwards pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Deonta Junior Brown made an initial appearance on a disorder conduct charge. Brown pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9 a.m. on Aug. 2 in Magistrate Court.

• Nicholas Allen Fuller made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. Fuller pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days.
