Tuesday

• Christopher Wayne Haller made an initial appearance on a trespass charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $522.50, due within 30 days.

• Nathaniel Dean Greenfield made an initial appearance on a harassment-third degree charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Garrett Lee Kaufman made an initial appearance on a limitation consumer fireworks violation charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within in 30 days.

• Joseph James Robinson made an initial appearance on a rabies vaccination violation charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 in Magistrate Court.

• Rosalia Rogue Ramos made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. She pleaded guilty and received a deferred sentence. Ramos will be on unsupervised probation for one year and is ordered to pay a civil penalty of $100 with a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs, due within 90 days. Upon completion of the probation, Ramos can request the court expunge this from her record.

Incidents

• On Sunday, a theft from a building was reported in the 10 block of North 10th Street.

• On Monday, there was a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle in the 500 block of North Third Street.

• On Friday, Terese Marie Odin was arrested on a warrant from another county.

• On Friday, Gebrezghabihir was arrested for spitting in a police vehicle, interference with official acts and public intoxication-first offense.

• On Friday, Philip Oetker was arrested for theft-third degree-bad check.

• On Saturday, Michaela Requel Anderson was arrested for domestic abuse assault impeding the flow of blood or air causing bodily injury and obstruction of emergency communications.

• On Saturday, Carrie Ann Kleinman was arrested for intent to deliver or manufacture methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance third or subsequent offense, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.

• On Saturday, Nathan Eugene Priske was arrested for two counts of a possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Saturday, Roeles Reyes Cavazos was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication-first offense.

• On Saturday, , Jeffrey Robert Vangundy was arrested for driving under suspension.

• On Saturday, Conny L. Miles Jr. was arrested for possession of marijuana-first offense.

• On Sunday, , Kenneth Tyler Aschan was arrested for failure to use headlamps when required, driving while barred-habitual offender, no insurance and interference with official acts.

• On Sunday, Gerardo Javier Velazco was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense and driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Sunday, Alex Ramirez was arrested for no insurance and operating while under the influence-second offense.

• On Monday, Nathaniel Dean Lowrey was arrested for harassment-third degree.

• On Monday, Twana Latrice Greenwood was arrested for domestic abuse assault-first offense.

Accidents

• On Sunday, Aug. 20, a vehicle driven by Kwand Aysaan Woods, of Marshalltown, was westbound in the 300 block of West South Street when the glare from the setting sun caused the driver to sideswipe a legally parked minivan. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,000, each.

• On Tuesday, Aug. 28, the driver of a white Dodge minivan was westbound on West Nevada Street when it sideswiped a legally parked Dodge Stratus and then rear-ended a legally parked GMC Sierra before the driver left the scene. Damage to the minivan was estimated at $3,000 while the Stratus received an estimated $2,500 in damage and the Sierra an estimated $100 in damage.

• On Thursday, Aug. 30, a car driven by Hosie Jeremy Laws, of Marshalltown, was northbound on South Third Avenue when it struck a bicycle driven by a female which darted out into traffic. The female was transported to UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown. Laws was cited for no valid driver’s license. Damage to the Laws car was estimated at $1,000.

• On Monday, Clayton Smith was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to maintain control.

• On Monday, Chandler Hallett was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense.
