Monday

• Christin Marie Campbell Martin made an initial appearance on an ongoing criminal conduct charge, three counts of a forgery charge, a theft-third degree charge and an identity theft charge. Chad Freese is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19. Bond is set at $25,000 cash or surety.

• Jonathan David Hill made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-first offense charge and a public intoxication charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Matthew John McCarthy made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Darrell Meyer is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by McCarthy’s parole officer. McCarthy is being held without bond.

• Kristense Kay Rose made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine charge, a possession of drug paraphernalia charge and probation violation charge. Chris Clausen is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by District Associate Court.. The preliminary hearing on the drug charges is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 19. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days of release.

• Rosibel Andrade made an initial appearance on an operating while intoxicated charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 27. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Sean Michael Helms made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge and a failure to maintain control charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 27. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

Incidents

• On Friday, a burglary incident was reported to the Marshalltown Police Department.

• On Friday, a theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 2000 block of Smith Avenue.

• On Saturday, a theft of a motor vehicle incident took place in the 600 block of Lee Street.

• On Saturday, a burglary of a motor vehicle occurred in the 700 block of West Church Street.

• On Saturday, a burglary was reported in the 900 block of North Fifth Avenue.

• On Sunday, hit and run damage was reported to property in the 10 block of East State Street.

Citations

• On Friday, Juan Velazco Jr., 25, was arrested for criminal mischief-fifth degree.

• On Friday, Angel Pena, 33, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense and public intoxication-first offense.

• On Friday, Quintin Watley, 29, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Saturday, Susie Arriola, 18, was cited for violation of a restricted license.

• On Saturday, Tawny Rochelle Olson, 21, was cited for failure to obey a stop sign or yield sign.

Arrests

• On Saturday, Daniel Yerena-Morales, 25, was arrested for operation without registration , no insurance and on a warrant.

• On Saturday, Susie Arriola, 18, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Saturday, Troilynn Leake, 21, was arrested for failure to reduce speed to a reasonable and proper rate, failure to obey a traffic control device and no insurance.

• On Saturday, Marques Haynes, 39, was arrested for child endangerment and domestic abuse assault.

• On Saturday, Jose Ramirez-Jimenez, 42, was arrested for no insurance, open container and operating while under the influence-first offense.

• On Sunday, Shane Rose, 39, was arrested for dogs at large.

• On Sunday, Matthew McCarthy, 40, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Sunday, Jonathan Hill, 31, was arrested for public intoxication-first offense and domestic abuse assault-first offense.

Accidents

• On Friday, a vehicle driven by Robert Marvin Lutes, 81, of Conrad, was eastbound on Anson Street attempting to make a left turn onto South Third Avenue when it collided with a vehicle driven by Lori Ann Dougherty, 56, of Marshalltown, which was westbound on Anson Street. No injuries were reported. Lutes was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $2,500 each.

• On Friday, a car driven by Jose Luis Alvarez-Vazquez, 64, of Marshalltown, was driving the wrong way on a East Church Street when it collided with a pickup driven by Joseph Edward Gummert, 37, of Marshalltown, which was pulling onto East Church Street. No injuries were reported. Alvarez-Vazquez was cited for violating a one-way designation. Damage to the Alvarez-Vazquez car was estimated at $1,000 while the Gummert pickup received an estimated $2,500 in damage.

• On Thursday, Kenneth Lloyd Carmer, 58, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Marie Lynn Collins, 45, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Saturday, Melissa Hallmann, 38, was arrested for no valid driver’s license and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Saturday, Jeffrey Ray Flowers, 45, was arrested on a warrant from another county.

• On Saturday, Shelly Jo Umbaugh, 37, was arrested on two warrants.

• On Sunday, Jay Appel, 32, was arrested for assault.

• On Sunday, Theanna Martinez, 20, was arrested for theft-fifth degree.

• On Sunday, Kristense Rose, 33, was arrested for violation of probation, possession of a Scheduled II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
