• Aaron Lee Dolash made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree-enhanced charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23. Dolash is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 24 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Rodrigo Juarez Rubio made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-serious charge and a child endangerment charge. Michael Marquess is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 13. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party. Juarez Rubio has an Immigration and Customs Enforcement hold on him.

• Michael Leslie Tremaine made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-serious charge and two counts of a child endangerment charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 13. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected parties.

• William Sanders made an initial appearance on an extradition request from Michigan charge. The extradition hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 30. Sanders is being held without bond.

• Judy L. Maschmann made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Jennie Wilson-Moore is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 9. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

• Blake Shutt made an initial appearance on two counts of a probation violation charge. Christian Stickrod is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 9. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• Kerstie Lynn Arnold made an initial appearance on an interference with official acts charge and an extradition request from Colorado charge. Jennifer Bonzer is appointed as counsel. Arnold pleaded guilty to the interference charge and the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50, due within 30 days. The extradition hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 30. Arnold is being held without bond.

• Virginia Maureen Purk made an initial appearance on a theft-third degree charge. Darrell Meyer is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Oct. 23. Purk is released on her promise to appear.

Incidents

• On Monday, vandalism to property was reported in the 200 block of South Ninth Street.

• On Monday, a theft was reported in the 400 block of East Boone Street.

Arrests

• On Monday, William Sanders, 35, was arrested on a warrant from another county.

• On Monday, Jesus Alonzo Corona, 19, was arrested for speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance-first offense.

• On Monday, Virginia Purk, 26, was arrested for theft-third degree.

• On Monday, Aaron Dolash, 345, was arrested for theft-third degree-enhanced.

• On Monday, Kione Donelson, 20, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• On Monday, Rodrigo Juarez Rubio, 36, was arrested for child endangerment and domestic abuse assault-first offense.

• On Monday, Michael Tremaine, 49, was arrested for child endangerment and domestic abuse assault-first offense.

Accidents

• On Sunday, Oct. 1, a car driven by Charles Erwin Cochran, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Eighth Street stopped at the intersection with West Church Street when it proceeded forward into the path of a pickup driven by Chase Allen Clark, of Marshalltown, resulting in the pickup broad-siding the car. No injuries were reported. Cochran was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Damage to the Cochran car was estimated at $2,500 while the Clark pickup received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

• On Sunday, Oct. 1, a car driven by Stuart Becherer Smith, of Eden Prairie, Minn., was westbound on Highway 30 when it struck a deer that entered the traveled portion of the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Smith car was estimated at $2,000.

• On Sunday, Oct. 1, a minivan driven by a 17-year-old female from Marshalltown was southbound on South Ninth Street when it collided with the rear of a pickup driven by Desirae Haley Burton, of Marshalltown, which was stopped awaiting for oncoming traffic to clear to make a left turn into a business. The juvenile complained of pain to her abdomen and was transported to UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown. She was also cited for failure to stop within the assured, clear distance. Damage to the juvenile’s car was estimated at $5,000 while the Burton pickup received an estimated $2,000 in damage.

• On Monday, Taylor Runge, 22, was arrested for no valid driver’s license, no insurance and driving under suspension.

• On Monday, James Duncan, 44, was arrested for driving while license is denied or revoked, no insurance-accident, operating without interlock device, no valid driver’s license and operation without registration.

• On Monday, Judy Maschmann, 50, was arrested for violation of probation.

• On Monday, Crystal Cardona, 29, was arrested on a warrant.
