• On Wednesday, Anthony Fleck, 19, was arrested for possession of alcohol by a person under the legal age limit.

• On Wednesday, Stephen Thompson, 56, was arrested for driving while license is denied or revoked.

• On Tuesday, Miguel Ibarra-Lemus, 19, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense and driving while barred-habitual offender.

Accidents

• On Monday, a car driven by Nellie Sue Strait-Ramirez, 18, of Marshalltown, was southbound on South Center Street attempting to turn left into the Marshalltown Community College driveway when the driver saw a car driven by Donald Gene Nasalroad, 73, of Marshalltown, with the left turn signal on to change lanes. Strait-Ramirez initiated her turn believing Nasalroad was turning left into UnityPoint Health South and when the reality of a lane change was realized it was too late and a collision ensued. No injuries were reported. Strait-Ramirez was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn. Damage to the Strait-Ramirez car was estimated at $1,500 while the Nasalroad car received an estimated $3,000 in damage.• On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Lucas Michael Catherwood, 21, of Garwin, was westbound on East Main Street stopped at the intersection with 18th Avenue when he proceeded forward his cell phone fell on the floor and he reached down to get it resulting in the pickup striking the stop sign on the opposite corner. No injuries were reported. Catherwood was cited for driving under suspension. Damage to the Catherwood pickup and the stop sign were estimated at $3,000 each.
