• Crystal Cardona made an initial appearance on a pre-trial release violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is scheduled at 11 a.m. on Dec. 1. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

• Andrew D. Huntrods made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Breanna Nelson is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only.

• Rita Marie Tesar made an initial appearance on two counts of a child endangerment charge and a domestic abuse assault charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Nov. 17. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Thomas Alan Niehus made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury or mental illness charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Nov. 27. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Justin Ryan Patton made an initial appearance on a parole violation charge. Merrill Swartz is appointed as counsel. The parole revocation hearing will be scheduled by an administrative law judge. Patton is being held without bond.

• Eric Lamont Wiley made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Jennie Wilson Moore is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

• Yovani Salvador Flores made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for a sentencing hearing charge. Breanna Nelson will continue as counsel. The sentencing hearing will be scheduled by the court after Nov. 15. Flores is released on his promise to appear.

• Daniel Kaisinger made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Nov. 27. Kaisinger is released on his promise to appear.

• On Friday, a theft from a building was reported on the 500 block of West Main Street.

• On Friday, the police department received an report of a forgery in the 10 block of West Grant Street.

• On Saturday, a theft was reported to the Marshalltown Police Department

• On Saturday, a hit and run accident was reported on Highway 14.

• On Saturday, a theft was reported in the 500 block of Woodbury Street.

• On Saturday, a burglary was reported in the 500 block of East Linn Street.

• On Saturday, two burglaries were reported in the 400 block of North First Street.

• On Saturday, a theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of West Lincoln Street.

Accidents

• On Monday, Nov. 6, a vehicle driven by Terry Craig Dunham, 67, of Marshalltown, was westbound on East Anson Street when it attempted a left turn and colliding with a vehicle driven by Diana Elizabeth Moreno, 29, of Marshalltown, pushing it into a vehicle driven by Karina Victor Castellanos, 41, of Marshalltown, which was stopped for a red light. No injuries were reported. Dunham was cited for failure to yield upon a left turn. Damage to the Dunham vehicle was estimated at $2,500 while the Moreno vehicle received an estimated $2,000 in damage and the Victor Castellanos vehicle an estimated $4,000 in damage.
