• Juan Carlos Velazco Jr. made an initial appearance on a criminal mischief-second degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 29. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety.

• Amanda Raylene Armendariz AKA Macias made an initial appearance on three counts of a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Court. Armendariz is being held without bond.

• Nicole Lynn Walters made an initial appearance on an absence from custody charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 29. Walters is being held without bond.

• Sondra Ragen Alas made an initial appearance on a leaving the scene of an accident charge. Alas pleaded not guilty. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2018, in Magistrate Court.

• Glenn Edward Menter made an initial appearance on a harassment-third degree charge. Menter pleaded not guilty. Breanna Nelson is appointed as counsel. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2018, in Magistrate Court.

• Eric Oehlsen made an initial appearance on a failure to appear for an arraignment hearing charge. Tyler Heeren is appointed as counsel. The arraignment hearing is rescheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 27.

• Richard Sweet made an initial appearance on a failure to register as a sex offender-first offense charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2018. Sweet is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office to sign a pre-trial release agreement within 24 hours.

• On Tuesday, Dec. 19, a burglary was reported in the 400 block of South Ninth Street.

• On Tuesday, Dec. 19, a case of vandalism was reported in the 1300 block of West Main Street.

• On Tuesday, Dec. 19, David Schwartzenburg, 26, was arrested for theft-fifth degree.

• On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Raymond Shogren, 35, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Juan Velazco Jr., 25, was arrested for criminal mischief-second degree.

• On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Nicole Walters, 27, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Dec. 19, Amanda Macias, 27, was arrested for violation of probation.

• On Sunday, Dec. 17, a theft of a white Ford F-250 valued under $10,000 was reported to the Sheriff’s Office.

• On Monday, Dec. 11, a burglary resulting in a theft was reported to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
