• Jeffrey Alan Smith, of Columbia, Mo., made an initial appearance on a ongoing criminal conduct charge and a theft-first degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 13. Bond is set at $25,000 cash only.

• Tierra Renee Medlock made an initial appearance on a simple assault charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. Medlock pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the assault charge is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. On the theft charge the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Natasha Fisher made an initial appearance on a simple assault charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. Medlock pleaded guilty to both charges. The fine on the assault charge is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75. • Shaddare Jamal Watkins made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge, a no insurance charge, a no valid driver’s license charge, a failure to obey a stop sign charge and an open container charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 22. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days. Watkins is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours to sign a pre-trial release agreement.

• Simon Lee Buffalo made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-third or subsequent offense charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 22. Buffalo is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Natashia Kristine Benda made an initial appearance on a failure to file a guilty plea charge. Marshon Dubbert will continue as counsel. The filing hearing is scheduled at on Dec. 15 in District Associate Court. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case. Benda was ordered by the court to see her attorney immediately.

• Gerald Enlow made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. Enlow pleaded not guilty. The pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 27 in Magistrate Court.

• Margarita Guadalupe Inocencio Figueroa made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana-second offense charge. She will represent herself. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Dec. 21. Figueroa was released on her promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Rafael Ramirez Cardenas made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. Christian Stickrod is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2018, in Magistrate Court. Ramirez Cardenas is released on his promise to appear.

• Richard Taft made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a traffic control device. Aron Vaughn has been hired as counsel. Taft pleaded not guilty. A pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 20 in Magistrate Court.

• Dayron Travieso Rodriguez made an initial appearance on a public intoxication charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days. The bond that Rodriguez paid will be condemned to pay the fine and the remainder will be returned to Rodriguez.
