Thursday

• James Robert Eckheart, of Conrad, made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court charge. Jeff Hazen will continue as counsel. The contempt hearing is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Jan. 31 in Magistrate Court. Bond is set at $300 cash only. A new no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Jesse Ceniceros made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault charge and a child endangerment charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 2. Ceniceros is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours and sign a pre-trial release agreement. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected parties.

• Paul Michael Tupper, of Eldora, made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge, a no valid driver’s license charge, a no insurance-accident charge and a failure to maintain control charge. A rocket docket pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 23 in Magistrate Court. Tupper is released on his promise to appear.

• Freddy Enriquez made an initial appearance on an unlawful possession of prescription drugs charge, a possession of marijuana charge and a possession of alcohol under the legal age limit charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 1. Enriquez is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Samantha Malin Baccam, of Bondurant, made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus-first offense charge. The pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 21 in Magistrate Court.

• Kira Patrice Downs made an initial appearance on a operating while intoxicated-first offense charge and a failure to use headlamps when required charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 2. Downs is released on her promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Kimberly Marie Rollins, of Le Grand, made an initial appearance on a theft-fifth degree charge. She pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due within 30 days.

• On Thursday, Curtis Wilson, 34, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Thursday, Freddy Enriquez, 18, was arrested for possession of alcohol under legal age limit and on a warrant.

• On Thursday, Miguel Vidales Mendez, 22, was arrested for possession of marijuana-first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Thursday, Elizabeth Tacconi, 18, was arrested for possession of alcohol under the legal age limit.

• On Thursday, Josephine Coury, 19, was arrested on a social host ordinance violation.

• On Thursday, Blake Shutt, 19, was arrested for possession of alcohol under the legal age limit.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 1104 E. State St., a sprinkler activation due to malfunction at 4 E. Main St., and nine medical assists with the EMS crew to: 302 E. Linn St., 206 Nicholas Drive, 2630 S. Eighth St., 609 E. Marion St., 13 E. Southridge Road, 1205 E. Nevada St., 200 S. 12th Ave., and 201 E. Main St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 209 S. Fifth Ave., a detector activation-no fire-unintentional at 1016 S. Third Ave., and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 705 E. Nevada St., 1116 Summit St., 1704 S. Third St., 507 N. Fourth St., 1900 S. Second Ave., 507 N. Fourth St., and 411 Lee St.

Jan. 10

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a removal of victims from elevator at 122 W. Main St., two EMS calls excluding vehicle accident with injuries at 1104 E. State St., and 211 Westwood Drive, and a medical assist with the EMS crew to 507 N. Fourth St.

Jan. 11

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on South Third Avenue, a medical assist with the EMS crew to 1306 Marshall Drive, and a false alarm at 2302 Knollway Drive.

Jan. 12

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1506 S. Sixth St., 611 S. 12th St., and 407 W. Church St.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Paul Tupper, 29, was arrested for failure to maintain control, no insurance-accident, no valid driver’s license and driving under suspension.

• On Wednesday, Kimberly Rollins, 33, was arrested for theft-fifth degree-possession of stolen property.
