• Larz Sean Christopher McIntosh made an initial appearance on a burglary-second degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 9. Bond is set at $10,000 cash or surety.

• Kenneth L. Carmer made an initial appearance on two counts of a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will scheduled by the District Associate Court. Bond is set at $5,000 cash only on each charge.

• Diego Nathaniel Murillo made an initial appearance on a possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver charge, a driving while revoked charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 9. Bond is set at $50,000 cash only.

• Josephine Guadalupe Coury made an initial appearance on a serving alcohol to minors charge. She pleaded guilty and the fine is $100 with a $35 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $195, due within 30 days.

• Rafael Ramirez Cardenaz made an initial appearance on a forgery charge, a theft-third degree charge, a forgery charge, a theft-second degree charge and a theft-fifth degree charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 9. Bond is set at $5,000 cash or surety. The court ordered that Ramirez Cardenaz be photographed and fingerprinted in connection with this case.

• Bobbi Lorraine Roberts made an initial appearance on an assault causing bodily injury charge. Darrell Meyer is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 19. Roberts is released on her promise to appear. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Kione Jerome Donelson made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Sandra Martin-Smith made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. Marvin-Smith will hire her own counsel. The probation revocation hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on Feb. 12.

• Antonio Robles Solano made an initial appearance through a Spanish interpreter on a no insurance-accident charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $500 with a $175 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $735, due within 30 days.

• Veera Sajjanapu made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 28 in Magistrate Court.

• Rian Popejoy made an initial appearance on a failure to obey a stop sign charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on Feb. 28 in Magistrate Court.

• Alexandria Marie Shadden made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. She pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $272.75, due within 30 days.

Incidents

• On Tuesday, a case of vandalism was reported in the 200 block of North Sixth Street.

Arrests

• On Wednesday, Jason Wunsch, 31, was arrested for driving under suspension.

• On Wednesday, Diego Murillo, 20, was arrested for driving while license is revoked and possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver.

Accidents

• On Monday, a pickup driven by Robert Lee Mericle, 56, of Melbourne, was westbound on East Lincoln Street when it collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by Orlaioda Ascuncion Gethmann, 32, of Gladbrook. Gethmann complained of head and neck aches, but refused treatment. Mericle was cited for no insurance and following too closely. Damage to the Mericle pickup was estimated at $5,000 while the Gethmann vehicle received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

• On Monday, a burglary of two motor vehicles was reported in Melbourne.

• On Tuesday, a burglary of a motor vehicle was reported in Melbourne.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Kenneth Lloyd Carmer, 58, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Jeramy Lee Brown, 40, was arrested for no valid driver’s license, no insurance, operating without an interlock device and driving while denied or revoked.

• On Tuesday, Jonathan Michael Waseskuk, 25, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Larz McIntosh, 19, was arrested on a warrant charging him with burglary-second degree.
