• On Sunday, March 25, a theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the 100 block of South First Avenue.

Accidents

• On Friday, a car driven by Orlando Lamar Lewis, 38, of Marshalltown, was exiting a Dollar General parking area onto South Center Street when it crossed into the southbound lane then switched lanes cutting off a car driven by James Curtis Sewell, 61, of Marshalltown, resulting in a collision. No injuries were reported. Lewis was cited for no insurance and improper use of lanes. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,000 each.

• On Friday, March 23, a car driven by Jennifer Marie Thompson, 39, of Rhodes, was westbound on Highway 30 just west of Oaks Avenue when two deer crossed in front of her car resulting her Thompson striking one of them. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Thompson car was estimated at $2,000.

• On Friday, a pickup driven by John Lee St. Clair, 56, of Marshalltown, was exiting a private driveway when it collided with a bicyclist riding on the sidewalk. The male cyclist was transported to UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown by a private individual. St. Clair was cited for no insurance-accident.
