• Sean Douglas Switzer made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge, a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance-accident charge, a failure to maintain control charge, a turn from improper lane violation charge, a parking without stopping the engine or setting the break charge, a striking fixtures on the highway charge, a striking an unattended vehicle charge, an interference with official acts charge, a reckless driving charge, a driving with an obstructed view charge, a no valid driver’s license charge, three counts of a stop sign violation charge, two counts of a driving on the wrong side of a two-way road charge and three counts of a failure to yield to an emergency vehicle charge. Jennifer Bonzer was appointed as counsel for the probation violation. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Court. Switzer is being held without bond.

On the traffic violations, Switzer pleaded guilty to all charges. The fine on the driving under suspension and interference charges is $250 each with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for $397.50 per charge. The no insurance fine is $500 with a $175 surcharge and $60 in court costs for $735. The fine on the parking without stopping engine charge is $20 with a $7 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $87. The failure to maintain control, failure to yield to emergency vehicle charges, the driving on the wrong side of a two-way highway charges, the stop sign violation charges and the turn from wrong lane charges fines are $100 for each count with a $35 surcharge and court costs for a total of $135. The fines on the reckless driving charge, the striking fixtures charge and the striking an unattended vehicle charge are $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and court costs for a total of $147.75 for each count. The no valid driver’s license fine is $200 with a $70 surcharge and court costs for a total of $330. The obstructed view charge is $35 with a $12.25 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $107.25. All payments are due within 30 days.

• Sierra Ann Price made an initial appearance on a trespass-first offense charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on May 9 in Magistrate Court. Brenna Nelson is appointed as counsel.

• Matthew Joseph Schaumburg made an initial appearance on a trespass-first offense charge. He pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on May 9 in Magistrate Court.

• Trinity Rosales made an initial appearance on a trespass-first offense charge. He pleaded guilty and the fine is $200 with a $70 surcharge, a $125 law enforcement initiative surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $455, due within 30 days.

• Mark Carter McNeece made an initial appearance on a domestic abuse assault-causing injury or mental illness-first offense charge. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on April 26. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Theodora Alicia Wagner made an initial appearance on a possession of drug paraphernalia charge. She pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Ralph Maxwell made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Maxwell was released on his promise to appear.

• Jeremy Rhea Waltemeyer, of St. Anthony, made an initial appearance on a possession of marijuana charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 4. Waltemeyer is released on his promise to appear. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Daniel Yerena Morales made an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a providing a false identification information charge. Christian Stickrod is appointed as counsel. The rocket docket pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on May 18 in Magistrate Court on the driving charge. A pre-trial conference is set at 9:30 a.m. on May 16 in Magistrate Court on the false information charge. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

• Rosa Icela Gonzalez made an initial appearance on a no proof of vaccination charge. She pleaded guilty and the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75 plus a $25 Marshalltown civil penalty, due within 30 days.

• Shawna Gowdy made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 4.

• Trisha Bedwell made an initial appearance on a speeding charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on May 9 in Magistrate Court.
