• Johnathan Michael Albee made an initial appearance on a sex offender registry violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 11. Bond is set at $2,000 cash or surety.

• Benjamin York made an initial appearance on a possession of cannabidiol charge, a driving under suspension charge, a no insurance charge and a operating a non-registered vehicle charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 22. York is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours and sign a pre-trial release agreement. A substance abuse evaluation is ordered with the results submitted to the court within 60 days.

• Kimberly Marie Rollins made an initial appearance on an assault with intent to inflict serious injury charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on May 22. Rollins is released with supervision through the Department of Correctional Services and is to report to the adult probation office within 48 hours and sign a pre-trial release agreement. A no-contact order has been issued for the protected party.

• Bruce Wayne Gordon made an initial appearance on a violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court out of the State of Texas charge. Jeff Hazen is appointed as counsel. The pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on May 16 in Magistrate Court. Bond is set at $1,000 cash or surety.

• Jaramie Bershell Trumbo made an initial appearance on a pre-trial violation charge. Chad Frese will continue as counsel. Pre-trial release is revoked and a bond of $2,000 cash or surety re-instated.

• Chelsea Anne Kerr made an initial appearance on a probation violation charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The probation revocation hearing will be scheduled by the District Associate Court. Kerr is being held without bond.

• Jonathon Lee Martin made an initial appearance through counsel, Chad Frese, on a conspiracy to manufacture or distribute methamphetamine charge and a ongoing criminal conduct charge. The preliminary hearing is waived. The bond of $25,000 cash or surety will continue as posted.

• Lorrie Bartlett made an initial appearance on a disorderly conduct charge. Bartlett pleaded guilty ad the fine is $65 with a $22.75 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $147.75, due within 30 days.

• Jessi Gobble made an initial appearance on a permitting an unauthorized person to drive charge. Gobble pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on May 30 in Magistrate Court.

• On Tuesday, an incident of vandalism to property was reported in the 600 block of West Main Street.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Bruce Gordon, 52, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order/contempt of court.

• On Tuesday, Celina Victor, 21, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Johnathan Albee, 26, was arrested for sex offender registry violation-first offense.

• On Tuesday, Lorrie Bartlett, 52, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Accidents

• On Tuesday, a vehicle driven by Isabel Marie Anguiano, 19, of Marshalltown, was westbound on MCC driveway approaching the Highway 14 stop sign when Anguiano hit the gas instead of the brake and collided with the rear of a vehicle driven by Alexis Jones, 19, of Marshalltown, pushing it onto Highway 14. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Anguiano vehicle was estimated at $1,500 while the Jones vehicle received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

• On Tuesday, a minivan driven by Patricia Ivonne Ceron, 32, of Montour, was northbound on South Center Street approaching Meadow Lane when it collided with the rear of a car driven by Margot Michelle Hill, 54, of Marshalltown, which was slowing for a changing light. No injuries were reported. Ceron was cited for no insurance-accident.

• On Tuesday, a car driven by Jesus J. Landeros, 73, of Marshalltown, was eastbound in the Walmart parking lot when it veered to the south striking the stop sign in the parking lot and left the scene. Landeros later went to the Police Department to report the incident. Damage to the Landeros car was estimated at $6,000 while the stop sign received an estimated $10 in damage.

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Ramon Alejandro Medina Angel, 24, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under suspension and driving while revoked.

• On Tuesday, Chelsea Anne Kerr, 28, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Jaramie Bershell Trumbo, 37, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Tuesday, Cole Tesar, 18, was arrested for possession of marijuana-first offense.

Arrests

• On Monday, April 23, Jaremie Jones, 38, of Grundy Center, was arrested at his home in Grundy Center on a Bremer County warrant charging him with probation violation. Jones was released to the Bremer County authorities.

• On Monday, April 23, Jesse Murray, 21, of Cedar Falls, was arrested at the Cedar Falls Police Department and charged with operating without owner’s consent. Murray was released on his promise to appear.

• On Monday, April 23, Jacob Schwab, 23, of Cedar Falls, was arrested at the Cedar Falls Police Department and charged with operating without owner’s consent. Schwab was released on his promise to appear.

• On Wednesday, April 25, Ronald Smith, 53, of Dike, was arrested on Highway 20 and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense. Smith was released on his promise to appear.

• On Friday, April 27, Tressa Petty, 32, of Mason City, was arrested in Grundy Center on a Cerro Gordo County warrant charging her with contempt of court. Petty was taken to Hardin County to await pickup from the Cerro Gordo County authorities.

Accidents

• On Tuesday, April 24, vehicle driven by a 16-year-old female from New Hartford was northbound on Highway 57 at Westbrook when the driver looked down to adjust the dial and collided with the rear of a car driven by Aislynn Korf, 24, of Cedar Falls, which had slowed to make a left turn. No injuries were reported. The juvenile was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Korf car was estimated at $10,000 while the juvenile’s vehicle received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

• On Wednesday, April 25, a vehicle driven by Angela Bishop, 26, of Dubuque, was eastbound on Highway 20 when the wheel dropped off onto the shoulder, the driver over-corrected causing the vehicle to go out of control and enter the south ditch where it rolled and came to rest on its side. Bishop suffered minor injuries. Damage to the Bishop vehicle was estimated at $2,500.
