Incidents

• On Saturday, a theft valued between $1,000 – $10,000 was reported in the 3300 block of South Center Street.

• On Saturday, a burglary of a motor vehicle was reported in the 800 block of West Southridge Road.

• On Friday, a burglary was reported in the 100 block of East Linn Street.

• On Friday, a burglary and a theft was reported to the Marshalltown Police Station.

• On Friday, a burglary and a theft from a building was reported in the 300 block of South Second Avenue.

Arrests

• On Sunday, Matthew Barber, 38, was arrested for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.

• On Sunday, Samantha Opperman, 30, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• On Sunday, Corie Hooper, 31, was arrested for disorderly conduct.

• On Sunday, Jose Prudencio, 18, was arrested for driving under suspension.

• On Sunday, Hrang Nawl, 34, was arrested for speeding, registration violation and driving while license is denied or revoked.

• On Sunday, Lorena Martinez, 25, was arrested for possession of marijuana-second offense and interference with official acts.

• On Sunday, Steven Ralls, 32, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

• On Sunday, Elias Garcia Rivera, 42, was arrested for child endangerment-no injury, assault-use or display of weapon and contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Saturday, Antonio Villa-Magana, 25, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Saturday, Julio Espinoza Guevara, 37, was arrested for burglary-third degree.

• On Saturday, Jennifer Santiago Estrada, 36, was arrested for burglary-third degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Saturday, Tonya Turvey, 37, was arrested for burglary-third degree.

• On Saturday, Brienne Joy, 37, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication-first offense.

• On Saturday, Gustavo Nava, 23, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine-first offense, driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended and driving while barred-habitual offender.

• On Friday, Suleepon Danner, 42, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Doe Reh, 28, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Diego Villa-Magana, 32, was arrested for contempt of court/violation of a no-contact order.

• On Friday, Veddy Osakanu Onukumba, 39, was arrested for driving while license is denied, cancelled, revoked or suspended.

Accidents

• On Sept. 4, a pickup driven by Jaime Chiquito, 53, of Gilman, was westbound on Anson Street when it entered the intersection on a red light and collided with a minivan driven by a 17-year-old female exiting the Hy-Vee parking lot onto Anson. No injuries were reported. Chiquito was cited for failure to respond to a steady red light. Damage to the juvenile’s minivan was estimated at $1,000 while the Chiquito pickup received an estimated $2,000 in damage.

 • On Friday, a vehicle driven by Veddy Osakanu Onukumba, 39, of Marshalltown, was southbound on South First Avenue when it sent passed the stop sign and collided with a minivan driven by Bianca Marie Aragon, 28, of Marshalltown, causing it to roll onto the embankment before straightening back up. Aragon was transported to UnityPoint Health-Marshalltown. Osakanu Onukumba was cited for no insurance-accident, driving under suspension and failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Damage to the Osakanu Onukumba vehicle was estimated at $600 while the Aragon minivan received an estimated $6,000 in damage.

• On Friday, a car driven by Shirley Ann Devig, 77, of Marshalltown, entered the west entrance of the Fareway parking lot and continued south until she struck a light pole base in the west half of the parking lot. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Devig car was estimated at $4,000 while the base of the pole received an estimated $1 in damage.

• On Friday, a minivan driven by Rodney Dean Schnacker, 71, of Melbourne, was exiting a parking spot at Casey’s when it struck a pickup that was having gas pumped into the tank. No injuries were reported. Schnacker was cited for no insurance-accident. Damage to the Schnacker minivan was estimated at $500 while the pickup received an estimated $1,000 in damage.

• On Saturday, a car driven by Christopher Dean Arment, 21, of Marshalltown, was eastbound on West Boone Street when it ran the right tire up on the terrace and traveled approximately three blocks then tried to turn left onto South Ninth Street when the right tire assembly fell off causing the car to crash. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Arment car was estimated at $5,000.

• On Saturday, a car driven by Monica Anna Oregel, 37, of Marshalltown, was returning to a residence when she struck the hitch on the back of a pickup parked in the driveway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Oregel car was estimated at $4,000.

• On Sunday, a pickup driven by Alejandro Hernandez Sanchez, 42, of Fremont, Neb., was eastbound on Iowa Avenue West when it went through a flashing red light and collided with a car driven by Jenifer Rae Honts, 34, of Marshalltown, pushing it into a vehicle driven by Nathan Dale Clark, 30, of Marshalltown. No injuries were reported. Hernandez Sanchez was cited for no valid driver’s license and failure to obey a flashing red signal. Damage to the Hernandez Sanchez pickup was estimated at $3,000 while the Honts car received an estimated $7,000 in damage and the Clark vehicle an estimated $1,000 in damage.

• On Sunday, Robin Danielle Jenks, 45, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Sunday, Storm Richard Britt, 53, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Sunday, Darrah Dawn Pickard, 26, was arrested for operating while under the influence.

• On Saturday, Melvin Martin Jr., 37, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension.

• On Saturday, Eric Hannah, 45, was arrested on a warrant charging him with dominion/control of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Saturday, Harlan Rankin Jr., 55, was arrested on a warrant charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia.

• On Saturday, Amber Cervantes-Arteaga, 26, was arrested on a warrant charging her with violation of probation.

• On Friday, Jebediah Lee Boyd, 39, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Brett Gregory Quigley, 29, was arrested for no insurance, no valid driver’s license, failure to file SR-22 insurance, driving a commercial motor vehicle while disqualified, driving while barred and possession of drug paraphernalia.
