Arrests

• On Thursday, Fernando Ervin Cole, 20, was arrested for driving while barred.

• On Thursday, Deven Spinks, 28, was arrested for criminal mischief-fifth degree and violation of probation.

• On Thursday, Thomas James Morford, 45, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents

• On Wednesday, a pickup driven by a 16-year-old male from Montour was southbound on Reed Avenue when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the juvenile’s pickup was estimated at $5,000.

• On Tuesday, a pickup driven by Rodney Joe Dolash, 46, of Union, was northbound on Highway 330 when it swerved to miss a deer that entered the roadway, hit the shoulder then traveled across then road and entered the west ditch where it came to rest. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Dolash pickup was estimated at $5,500.

• On Sunday, a car driven by Daisy Ivet Gomez Gonzalez, 20, of Santa Fe, N.M., was westbound on Highway 30 when a deer entered the roadway from the median and struck the driver’s side. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Gomez Gonzalez car was estimated at $3,000.

Oct. 28

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 400 N. Fourth St., two EMS call, excluding vehicle accident with injury at 416 N. Fourth St., and 412 N. Second Ave., a false alarm or false call to 1317 Larkfield Court and five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 329 S. Third Ave., 506 N. 14th Ave., 1512 S. Fifth St., 1706 S. Seventh Ave. and 309 W. Boone St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a gasoline or other flammable liquid spill at Center Street and Iowa Avenue, four dispatched/cancelled en routes to: Center Street and Anson Street, 3202 S. 12th St., 3303 S. Center St., 313 Innes Blvd. and two medical assists with the EMS crew to 110 N. First Ave. and 403 Nicholas Drive.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at 2350 Summit St., a removal of victims from a stalled elevator at 26 S. First Ave., a no incident found upon arrival at 12th Avenue and Main Street, a good intent call to 105 W. Boone St., an arcing, shorted electrical equipment at 622 Elmwood Drive, four dispatched/cancelled en routes to: 309 S. 12th Ave., 2001 S. 12th Ave., 211 W. Church St. and 504 W. Linn St. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 212 S. 14th Ave., 520 N. Second St. and 11 E. Church St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dumpster or other trash receptacle trash fire at 1402 E. Main St., a building fire at 200 S. 12th Ave., an alarm system activation-no fire-unintentional at 511 E. Church St., a gas leak at 207 ? W. Church St., a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at 600 S. Sixth St., a dispatched/cancelled en route to 1211W. State St. and seven medical assists with then EMS crew to: 402 N. Fourth Ave., 1 W. Grant St., 609 Marion St., 602 E. South St., 909 Jackson St., 402 N. Fourth Ave. and 1805 Summit St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a gas leak at 302 Melody Lane, a steam, vapor, fog or dust thought to be smoke at 1516 E. Olive St., an extrication, rescue, other at 1301 S. Sixth St. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 1512 S. Fifth St., 1200 E. Olive St., 206 W. Grant St. and 105 W. Webster St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries at Summit Street and Fourth Street, two EMS calls, excluding vehicle accident with injury at 206 Taft St. and 221B Glenda Drive and eight medical assists with the EMS crew to: 2315 Campbell Drive, 122 W. Main St., 203 W. Linn St., Tallcorn #507, 309 W. Boone St., 202 N. Second Ave., 1211 W. State St. and 106 S. First St.

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a EMS call excluding vehicle accident with injury at 403 Melody Lane, a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Highway 14, a citizen complaint at 1503 Kalsem Blvd., a gas leak at 403 S. State St. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 508 Brentwood Road, 402 N.10th Ave. and 303 Friendly Drive.
