Marshall County Sheriff

Arrests

• On Friday, Irene Castellanos-Espinoza, 19, was arrested for failure to maintain registration, no insurance and driving while license is denied or revoked.

• On Friday, Wesley Aaron Hala, 36, was arrested for domestic abuse assault-first offense.

• On Friday, Shaidin Aaron Ross, 26, was arrested for harassment-first degree, assault on peace officers and others and interference with correction officials.

• On Friday, Nicole Lynn Walters, 28, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Nicole Rene Reza, 22, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Lorrie Ann Bartlett, 53, was arrested on a warrant.

• On Friday, Heidi Renae Smith, 51, was arrested for failure to maintain control and operating while under the influence-first offense.

Grundy County Sheriff

Arrests

• On Tuesday, Rose Levingston, 33, of Mason City, was arrested by Tama County authorities on a Grundy County warrant charging her with failure to appear. Levingston was released on her promise to appear for the Grundy County charges and then given to Wright County on their warrant for driving while barred.

Accidents

• On Friday, a car driven by Emily Wrage, 18, of Reinbeck, was southbound on Center Street when it collided with a Jeep driven by Magdeline Davis, 30, of Reinbeck, in the intersection with Clark Street. No injuries were reported. Wrage was cited for failure to yield to the vehicle on the right. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $3,500 each.

• On Friday, a vehicle driven by Chase Netusil, 20, of Carroll, was eastbound on Highway 20 when the driver experienced a medical problem resulting in the vehicle leaving the traveled portion of the roadway, entering the south ditch, going through a fence, striking a fence post and entering a grove of trees where it struck a tree and knocked it down before coming to rest. Netusil was transported to the nearest hospital for tests. Damage to the Netusil vehicle was estimated at $6,000.

• On Tuesday, a vehicle driven by Rodney Schnacker, 72, of Melbourne, was northbound on K Avenue south of Highway 175 when the driver lost control on the icy roadway, entered the west ditch and crossed over a farm driveway before coming to rest. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Schnacker vehicle was estimated at $2,000.

• On Thursday, a Jeep driven by a 17-year-old female from Janesville was eastbound on Highway 20 exiting at Dike and while on the ramp the driver lost control and entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Jeep was estimated at $2,000.

• On Thursday, a vehicle driven by Larry Lott, 71, of Dike, was westbound on Highway 57 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Lott vehicle was estimated at $7,000.

• On Thursday, a vehicle driven by Thomas Cooper, 75, of Waterloo, was westbound on Highway 20 when the driver lost control on the snow/ice covered roadway, entered the ditch and stuck a fence. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Cooper vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

• On Wednesday, a vehicle driven by Eric Andersen, 58, of Cedar Falls, was southbound on X Avenue south of 150th Street when the driver intended to make a left turn into a driveway, but failed to signal. A vehicle driven by Melissa Dennis, 41, of New Hartford, was also southbound on X Avenue and attempted to pass the Andersen vehicle thinking it was pulling up to the mailbox. The Andersen vehicle turned left and the two vehicles collided on the east side shoulder and came to rest. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $5,000 each.

• On Monday, a vehicle driven by Scott Woodman, 59, of Eldora, was northbound on B Avenue near 280th Street when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Woodman vehicle was estimated at $4,000.

• On Tuesday, a vehicle driven by Craig Wildeboer, 48, of Holland, was eastbound on Highway 175 when it struck a deer that entered the roadway. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Wildeboer vehicle was estimated at $10,000.

Marshalltown Fire Department

Jan. 27

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to two dispatched/cancelled en routes to 203 S. Seventh Ave. and 1211 W. State St. and four medical assists with the EMS crew to: 7 N. 17th St., 905 Iowa Ave. West, 405 W. State St. and 206 Nicholas Drive.

Jan. 26

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to an unauthorized burning at 211 N. 10th Ave. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 113 Bohen St., 206 Nicholas Drive and 1713 Country Club Lane.

Jan. 25

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a search for a person on land at 3700 S. Center St. and six medical assists with the EMS crew to: 810 W. Lincoln Way, 506 E. Church St., 9 W. Linn St., 403 N. Center St., 509 N. 16th St. and 5 W. North St.

Jan. 24

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a dispatched/cancelled en route to 3202 S. 12th St., a gas leak at 204 N. Ninth St. and three medical assists with the EMS crew to: 905 Iowa Ave. West, 402 E. Boone St. and 10 N. Fourth Ave.

Jan. 23

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to five medical assists with the EMS crew to: 306 N. Second St., 402 E. Boone St., 1902 E. Anson St., 407 W. Church St. and 107 Harmony Drive.

Jan. 22

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a sprinkler activation due to malfunction at 901 E. Olive St. and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 3202 S. 12th St., 119 E. State St., 604 E. Linn St., 301 N. Second Ave., 101 Pleasantview Road, 408 Woodbury St. and 1 Palmer St.

Jan. 21

• The Marshalltown Fire Department responded to a smoke or odor removal at 112 S. College, a sprinkler activation-no fire-unintentional at 811 E. Main St. and seven medical assists with the EMS crew to: 706 Fremont St., 307 Sharon Ave., 207 E. Olive St., 533 N. Third St., 403 N. Center St., 510 E. Anson St. and 708 Jackson St.
