Court — Monday

• Christine Shaun Cissy Oetker-Ecklor made an initial appearance on five counts of a theft-third degree charge and a trespass charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on March 14. Bond is set at $6,000 cash or surety.

• Presley Daggett, of Ames, made an initial appearance on a no insurance charge. She pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on March 27 in Magistrate Court.

• Austin Cole Feldmann made an initial appearance on an unlawful passing of a school bus charge. Feldmann pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on April 10 in Magistrate Court.

• Joseph Donnelly made an initial appearance on a no insurance-accident charge and a failure to yield upon a left turn charge. Donnelly pleaded not guilty and a pre-trial conference is scheduled at 9:30 a.m. on April 24 in Magistrate Court.

• Adolfo Mario Sanchez Cervantes nade an initial appearance on a driving under suspension charge and a no insurance-accident charge. Sanchez Cervantes pleaded guilty to both charges. On the driving under suspension charge the fine is $250 with a $87.50 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $397.50. The fine on the no insurance charge is $500 with a $175 surcharge and $60 in court costs for a total of $735. Payments are due within 30 days.

• Eric Gomez Patlan made an initial appearance on a driving while barred charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on March 22. Patlan is released on his promise to appear.

• Ashley Jo Lively made an initial appearance on a driving while revoked charge and a no insurance charge. The public defender’s office is appointed as counsel. The preliminary hearing is scheduled at 1 p.m. on March 22. Bond will continue as posted until the conclusion of this case.

• On Monday, Colton Stochl, 20, was arrested on a warrant.

Accidents

• On Sunday, a vehicle driven by Michelle Roseburrough, 48, of Marshalltown, was westbound on West State Street when it collided with a legally parked Dodge Ram pickup. No injuries were reported. Roseburrough was arrested for operating while under the influence-first offense. Damage to the Roseburrough vehicle was estimated at $10,000 while the Dodge Ram sustained an estimated $3,000 in damage.

• On Sunday, a car driven by a 16-year-old male from Marshalltown was southbound on South Third Avenue when it encountered a parked Honda Civic near a curve and attempted to go around it on the curve, hit a patch of ice, began sliding, overcorrected when striking dry pavement and struck the Honda Civic. No injuries were reported. The juvenile was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Honda Civic was estimated at $3,000 while the juvenile’s car received an estimated $2,500 in damage.

• On Sunday, a vehicle driven by Christian Rico, 24, of Davenport, was eastbound on West High Street when it collided with the rear of a pickup driven by Saul Chavarria, 23, of Marshalltown, and Chavarria left the scene before the authorities arrived. No injuries were reported. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $20,000 each.

• On Friday, a minivan driven by Nicole Marie Kendall, 38, of Marshalltown, was northbound on Highland Acres Road approaching Lincoln Way when it proceeded past the stop sign and collided with a vehicle driven by James N. Allen, 80, of Melbourne. No injuries were reported. Kendall was cited for failure to obey a stop sign and yield the right of way. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $1,500 each.

• On Friday, an SUV pulled into traffic from Lafrentz Lane resulting in a car driven by Kathleen Marie Dolan, 44, of Washington, colliding with it and then the SUV left the scene. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Dolan car was estimated at $1,500.

• On Feb. 26, a pickup driven by Jose Alfredo Cervantes-Reynosa, 25, of Marshalltown, was backing out of his ice covered driveway when it hit a path of ice and the pickup went sliding into a car driven by Earl Carmer Warren, 84, of Marshalltown, which was southbound on Fourth Street. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Carmer car was estimated at $1,500 while the Cervantes-Reynosa pickup received an estimated $750 in damage.

• On Feb. 25, a minivan driven by Manuel Gonzalez-Toledo, 75, of Marshalltown, was westbound on Anson Street when he failed to stay in his lane and collided with a car driven by Michelle Louise Fiscus, 29, of Marshalltown, which was making a left turn toward South Sixth Avenue. No injuries were reported. Gonzalez-Toledo was cited for failure to maintain control. Damage to the Gonzalez-Toledo minivan was estimated at $500 while the Fiscus car received an estimated $3,000 in damage.

Arrests

• On Saturday, Logan Caulkins, 19, was arrested on a warrant charging him with violation of a no-contact order, possession of marijuana-first offense, burglary-third degree, two violations of probation and interference with official acts.

• On Saturday, Mariyah Buckley, 18, was arrested on a warrant charging her with theft-first degree.

• On Saturday, Steven Thrift, 25, was arrested on a warrant charging him with possession of methamphetamine-first offense.

• On Saturday, Rex Allen Rhiner, 53, was arrested for driving while license is denied or revoked.

Accidents

• On Monday, a pickup driven by Koty Dale Kruse, 18, of Conrad, was southbound on Hawk Avenue approaching 100th Street when the driver attempted to brake and his brakes failed. Kruse steered the pickup toward a snow bank aid in stopping and when he hit the snow bank, the pickup turned onto the passenger side. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Kruse pickup was estimated at $6,000.

• On Sunday, Feb. 24, a pickup driven by Fernando Oliveros Ayala, 53, of Marshalltown, was southbound on Highway 14 when the driver lost control on the snow and ice covered roadway, the driver overcorrected and slid sideway coming to rest on its passenger side. No injuries were reported. Damage to the Oliveros Ayala pickup was estimated at $2,500.
