48 films to be screened at Des Moines Arts Festival

DES MOINES — The Des Moines Arts Festival presents the Interrobang Film Festival as part of its three-day lineup, bringing the art of film to guests June 23-25. Part juried competition, part public screening and part workshop, the unique IFF event allows both cinema enthusiasts and curious newcomers to experience films from around the globe.

Forty-eight films will be screened over the three days of the Festival in the south wing of Des Moines Central Library, more films than ever screened before. Additional highlights include Q&A sessions with select filmmakers and concessions during screenings.

IFF is also proud to announce the world premier of OUTED, the Des Moines-based web series that was partially funded by the Iowa Arts Council, The Barn Raisers (from Quad City-based filmmakers Kelly and Tammy Rundle) and the Palm d’Or nominated Lunch Time which recently premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

Complete synopses of each of the films along with information about the filmmakers is available on the Des Moines Arts Festival website: desmoinesartsfestival.org/interrobangfilmfestival/
