Bob Dorr and The Blue Band in Waterloo

WATERLOO — Bob Dorr and The Blue Band perform live at the Waterloo Center for the Arts’ RiverLoop Rhythms from 5:30-9:30 p.m. on June 30 at the Amphitheatre, 225 Commercial St. Admission is free with food and beverages available for purchase.

Bob Dorr and The Blue Band have been playing together for more than 30 years. Their sound can be described as a mix of blues, soul, rockabilly, reggae and creole featuring Dorr with his unmistakable lead vocals. The Blue Band has opened shows for B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Bobby Rush, Robert Cray, Roomful of Blues, Tower of Power, Leon Russell, Duke Robillard, Maria Muldaur, Little Charlie & The Nightcats, Asleep at The Wheel and many others. Career highlights include a 25-year run at the Iowa State Fair, five appearances at the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival and two appearances at the Kansas City Jazz & Blues Festival.
