Smash the dog days of summer at Swing Smash Up

Classes will be taught by Matt Tough, who is from Denver, Colo., and Shannon Strand, who is from St. Paul, Minn., intermediates’ track starts at 10 a.m. The beginners’ track starts at noon and will be taught by local instructors Larry and Rae Mullica.

The evening dance, starting at 8 p.m., will feature live music from the Swing Smash Up Band.

The cost is $75 for the full weekend (including admission to the dance) or $25 for an individual dance class track. For the evening dance alone, the admission is $10. Register at and go to the Swing Smash-Up webpage.
