Oh Christmas Tree …

McKenna Coleman, left, and her sister, Kaelyn, selected this tree for their home at Christmas time. Their parents are Tina and Jim Coleman who watched the fun and excitement of real trees at the Izaak Walton League "forest."
McKenna begins the process of sawing down their Christmas tree. They found the work to be harder than they thought. However, they gave it a good try and finally succeeded.
McKenna and Kaelyn prepare to pull their Christmas Tree out of the "forest.” Soon it will be on its stand in the Coleman home where decorations will be added to help celebrate the season of Christmas. The Izaak Walton League grows trees and re-plants new trees each year to keep a 7- to 10-year rotation in place. So far this year, more than 100 trees have been sold with the weekends of Dec. 10-11, and the final dates of Dec. 17-18 remaining for people to come out to look, cut and take home a fresh tree. All trees cost $35 regardless of size.
