Sgt. Ben Veren with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office takes photos of a car involved in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend that claimed the life of a Grundy Center man near Albion. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a vehicle operated by James G. Boucher, 30, was southbound on Highway 330 at mile marker 27 at about 10:18 p.m. Saturday. The state patrol report indicated that as the vehicle was transitions through a curve to the right, the vehicle struck a tree on the passenger side. Boucher was pronounced dead at the scene. The state patrol, as well as the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, noted that as part of this ongoing investigation, they were awaiting toxicology results from the State Medical Examiner’s office to confirm what degree alcohol may have contributed to the crash, as well as speed and any other factors.
