Woman charged with forgeries and identify theft

A woman who allegedly stole checks from a Waterloo resident and used them to purchase goods at a local business was arrested by the Marshalltown Police Department earlier this week. Christin Marie Campbell-Martin, 37, was charged with Ongoing Criminal Conduct, a Class B felony. Additionally, Campbell-Martin faces three counts of Forgery, all Class D felonies, Theft in the third degree, and identity theft. A preliminary hearing in Marshall County District Court is 1 p.m. Oct. 19. Bond is $25,000 cash or surety.
