A place for butterflies to come

On Wednesday afternoon, the Community Butterfly Garden was officially dedicated, on the grounds of the Fisher Community Center, located south of the Martha-Ellen Tye Playhouse. CVB Executive Director Val Ruff, far right, spearheaded the efforts in revamping the land for this purpose. City Horticulturist Kristin Titus designed the layout, and various entities in the community donated time and money. “This is a spin-off of the community’s Monarchs and Milkweeds program, and we thought this would be a good spot to set up a waystation for monarchs,” Ruff said.
