The Marshall County Auditor’s Office updated some numbers from this week’s city elections, specifically those races that had write-in votes for council seats in Gilman, Le Grand and Rhodes.

In Gilman for the council seat to fill a vacancy, there were no candidates on the ballot, but Kent Cross received seven write-in votes among 26 cast to lead all other contenders.

In Le Grand, the council had two seats open but only one declared candidate. Christopher Wanne Kadner collected 68 votes, followed by 43 write-in votes. Shawn Hoskins collected 13 votes, leading all other write-in candidates.

Finally in Rhodes, there were three declared candidates for two council seats. However, Brandon Buck collected 22 of 37 write-in votes to lead all candidates. The next votegetter was declared candidate Jessica Armstrong who had 20 votes. Declared candidates Stephen Clement and Jerry S. Klosterman each earned 18 votes.

These numbers, however, are unofficial and are not valid until the official canvass of votes can take place at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 14.
