Getting crafty

Grimes Farm and Conservation Center was busting with holiday cheer Tuesday afternoon as attendees made a variety of Christmas ornaments, as part of this month’s Brown Bag Bunch program. Five styles of ornaments were made: tree cookie ornaments (sliced wood), acorn capped jingle bells, stars made from twigs, salt dough evergreen shapes, and pine cone creations. In addition to elements taken from nature, decoupage, bows, bells, cookie cutters, glue and glitter were utilized. Here Naturalist Emily Herring, center, does a demonstration while Lia Arment, 5, organizes some supplies.
