STATE CENTER — A State Center man faces drug charges after a routine traffic stop this week.

According to State Center Police Chief Jeff Bunn, the SCPD and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop Wednesday night in the 100 block of East Main Street in State Center.

The driver, Ronald Metivier Jr., 36, was subsequently arrested for having no driver’s license, driving under suspension and possession of drug paraphernalia.

That traffic stop led to authorities gaining a search warrant, which was served at Metivier’s residence at 401 E. Main St., where more drug paraphernalia items were recovered, Bunn said.

Metivier made his initial court appearance Thursday morning. His next court appearance is slated for Jan. 26, 2018 in magistrate court.
