Input sought on Hwy 14 corridor

The city of Marshalltown is asking the public for input into the current and future of the Highway 14 Corridor, or North 3rd Avenue, from the Iowa River Bridge to Anson Street.

A new survey can be completed online by going directly to the survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/highway14study. The survey is also available in Spanish by visiting www.marshalltown-ia.gov and viewing the City Spotlight or the project information page.

The public is also invited to provide input into the Highway 14/North 3rd Avenue Corridor at an open house from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30 at the Woodbury Elementary School cafeteria. Participants will learn more about the overall study and provide input into specific areas along the corridor.

Bolton & Menk, based in Ames, hired by the city to complete the study, will use information from the open house and the survey to make recommendations to the city for improvements along the Highway 14 corridor. The study is expected to be completed in late May 2018.
