Leatherneck Club

On Wednesday, Iowa Veterans Home staff welcomed visitors bearing a $5,000 gift which will benefit residents. Pictured in the Scheeler Administration Building are from left, while holding a $5,000 check facsimile, are Dan Evans of John Deere Financial, Kathy Kleywegt of JDF, IVH Volunteer Coordinator Aimee Deimerly-Snyder, Craig Skinner, president of Leatherneck Motorcycle Club International Inc. — Heartland Chapter, IVH Commandant Timon Oujiri, and Allie Antonovich of JDF. “It is hard to even express the gratitude we feel for John Deere Financial and the Leatherneck Motorcycle Club International Heartland Chapter, you both do so much for us,” said Deimerly-Snyder. It was the ninth annual donation. The donation has been made in memory of the late Darwin Judge, a local U.S. Marine who was killed-in-action during the Vietnam War. Last year, $6,000 was donated by LMCI and JDF and was applied for the purchase of an adaptive bicycle which can be used in tandem by residents and staff.
