A Marshalltown man faces charges after threatening a Marshalltown police officer and his family with violence. Capt. Brian Batterson of the MPD said Robert Vandee, 33, was charged with harassment-first degree after he threatened the officer who was arresting Vandee for domestic abuse/assault-first offense. Officers had been initially dispatched on a report of domestic abuse to a residence in the 200 block of North Center Street. “The victim had some injuries, but nothing requiring medical attention,” said Batterson of the MPD.
