Man faces drug charges

A Marshalltown man is behind bars after authorities executed a search warrant at his residence and finding drugs, drug paraphernalia and firearms.

On Thursday, agents with the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force served a search warrant at 6 Edgeland Drive in Marshalltown.

Officers there seized 97.9 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, three weapons including a loaded pistol, and an undisclosed amount of cash leading to the arrest of Bradd Alan Quigley, 31.

Quigley, who has a long list of past criminal violations and convictions, was arrested and charged with various criminal drug offenses including: Possession of Schedule II controlled substance with the intent to deliver (meth), a Class B felony; tax stamp violation and possession/control of a firearm as a felon, both Class D felonies; prohibited acts, an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.

The task force was assisted with the execution of the search warrant by the Marshalltown Police Department and Marshalltown SWAT.

Quigley is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
