Albion man arrested for domestic assault
An Albion man was arrested for domestic assault by a Marshall County Sheriff Office deputy earlier this week.
According to MCSO and Marshall County District Court records, Mark Carter McNeece, 52, was charged after the deputy was dispatched to a residence in the 2000 block of 140th Street.
“The defendant grabbed his wife by the neck area during an argument,” said the report. “The defendant also caused bodily injury by leaving red marks on the neck area.” The suspect was transported to Marshall County Jail where he was being held without bond.
He made his initial appearance in court also earlier this week, where Magistrate Bethany Currie issued a no-contact order against the defendant, meaning he can not contact the victim. His preliminary hearing is set for 1 p.m. April 26.
