For the love of art
Tuesday afternoon, a crew from The Conservation Center of Chicago was on hand at the Fisher Community Center to professionally evaluate the artwork on display inside the Impressionist Gallery. The information gathered will be used to develop an estimate in how much it will cost to restore the collection. The Fisher Governor Foundation used a grant from the Martha-Ellen Tye Foundation to hire a consulting team from Western Illinois University. Pictured is Josh McCauley, senior conservator of frames and gilding, and Associate Paintings Conservator Rebecca Vodehnal.
