Police make arrest related to September burglary
A juvenile was arrested and charged with third degree burglary related to an incident in September, according to Marshalltown Police.
On Sept. 16 at 12:58 a.m., officers responded to the Express Mart, 229 N.13th St., on the report of an alarm. When officers arrived, they discovered a recent burglary.
Police asked for the public’s help in indentifying the suspects.
Upon review of surveillance footage and several interviews, a juvenile male was charged with third degree burglary on Nov. 15 and transported to Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center.
Unrelated to the Express Mart burglary, the juvenile male was also charged with second degree theft related to a motor vehicle theft on Sept. 28. A second juvenile male was also charged with second degree theft and is currently being held at the Central Iowa Juvenile Detention Center.
The investigation into this case continues, according to MPD.
