A Marshalltown woman was arrested on a warrant Wednesday stemming from an incident earlier this year involving the confiscation of narcotics by the Mid-Iowa Drug Task Force at a local motel.

Brynn Michelle Price, 32, was taken into custody by Marshalltown police and charged with possession of controlled substance-second offense unlawful possession of a prescription drug, according to two criminal complaints and affidavits filed in Marshall County District Court. Captain Brian Batterson of the MPD said evidence obtained by MIDTF and evaluated resulted in a warrant issued for the defendant.

A magistrate appointed the defendant a public defender. Price’s preliminary hearing is Jan. 2.
