State Center minor arrested on felony sex abuse charges
A 17-year-old was arrested by State Center Police recently on a warrant charging him with two counts of sexual abuse-second degree, a forcible felony, court records show.
Blake Patrick Nelson is in Marshall County Jail on the offenses stemming from incidents with two females, both age 6, in State Center in 2018, according to criminal complaints filed in Marshall County District Court.
Minors who are charged with forcible penalties are tried as adults.
At his initial appearance Wednesday, a magistrate appointed the defendant a public defender, ordered a no contact order against the defendant, meaning he can not contact the victims. Additionally, Nelson was ordered to be held on $50,000 cash only bond. His preliminary hearing is March 22.
